FIELD WORK

 

Our field work is carried out through the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panamá.

 

Our field season is during the rainy season and lasts most of the summer when peak mating activity occurs. We turn nocturnal to work at night when the frogs are calling and most active. 

 

We have our own state of the art sound chamber in Panamá that we utilize for phonotaxis experiments.
